Telephone help and support service for
families and school teams affected by armed violence
Created in February 2023 and funded by the City of Montreal, the SUPPORT Line provides support for Montreal families concerned about armed violence issues.
Free and confidential, the SUPPORT Line offers individual support by phone or SMS as well as collective support groups.
You can also receive help by consulting the directory of existing resources.
The resource directory offers you various services, contact details for organizations, support services, and information tailored to your needs. It provides access to a consolidated network of services that can help ease your concerns.
The services of the SUPPORT Line are provided by a professional team whose members come from various backgrounds.
They have a variety of skills that allow them to use their unique expertise to prevent armed violence and to support affected families and parents.
The SUPPORT Line is a helpline, providing listening, assistance, and reference services.
Our goal is to support, accompany, and respond to the needs of Montreal families who wish to discuss their concerns related to armed violence.
SUPPORT Line is based on a preventive and humane community perspective.
Taking a collaborative and inclusive approach, it builds bonds of trust without judgment and without judicialization.
It defines itself as a helpline rather than an emergency line, aiming to develop a sense of security within families and schools, those around them, and their living environments.
